Millefiori Pendants
Wildflowers: My new range of Italian glass pendants, made in Ohakune, NZ.
Millefiori… translated from Italian as: A Thousand Flowers. After a once in a lifetime opportunity in 2018, to go behind the scenes in the Italian glass Island of Murano, to see the masters at work, Kate was able to watch the making of tiny intricate glass millefiori. Back in NZ, in 2020, in a fortunate stroke of serendipity with access to a supply of millefiori already in NZ, Kate spent her lockdown time developing and refining the process for making pendants using the millefiori.
Each pendant is a unique one-off design, hand made by Kate using genuine millefiori from Murano, Italy.
